ASEAN Currency Lesson Plan

Standard F1.2: Endowment with language communication skills for exchange of data and information; efficient expression of feelings and opinions.

            Vocabulary:   Brunei Dollar, Cambodian Riel, Indonesian Rupiah, Lao Kip,          Malaysian Ringgit, Myanmar Kyat, Philippine Peso, Thai Baht, Singapore Dollar,          Vietnamese Dong.

Structure:  Asking and giving information about ASEAN Currency.

Brunei Dollar


The Brunei Dollar (BND) is the official currency of Brunei Darussalam.
The current exchange rate of the Brunei Dollar (BND) to the Thai Baht (THB) is approximately 1 BND to 25 THB.





Cambodian Riel
 
The Cambodian Riel (KHR) is the official currency of Cambodia.
127 Cambodian Riel = 1 Thai Baht
Indonesian Rupiah


The Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) is the official currency of Indonesia.
1000 Indonesian Rupiah = 3 Thai Baht
Lao Kip



The Lao Kip (LAK) is the official currency of Laos. 1000 Lao Kip = 4 Thai Baht
Malaysian Ringgit


The Malaysian Ringgit (MYR) is the official currency of Malaysia.
*1 Malaysian Ringgit approximately equals 10 Thai Baht
Myanmar Kyat


The Myanmar Kyat (MMK) is the official currency of Myanmar.

Philippine Peso


The Philippine Peso (PHP) is the official currency of the Philippines.
1.40 Philippine Peso = 1 Thai Baht
Thai Baht


The Thai Baht (THB) is the  official currency of Thailand.

Singapore Dollar


The Singapore Dollar (SGD) is the official currency of Singapore.
1 Singapore Dollar approximately equals 25 Thai Baht.
Vietnamese Dong


The Vietnamese Dong (VND) is the official currency of Vietnam.
652 Vietnamese Dong = 1 Thai Baht
